Our Company History:
The business originally started as a one-man operation that specialized in the installation of drapers, blinds, and shades. Since 1977 , our business has grown to encompass custom window treatments, drapery cleaning, window cleaning, re-upholstery, carpet and upholstery cleaning, leather upholstery cleaning and conditioning, and carpet and upholstery fabric protection.
Bill continues to personal manage every stage of each project, assuring that each customer receives the quality workmanship that he has consistently strives to provide over the years.

CARPET AND RUG CLEANING –
How long will it take to clean my carpets?
The time required to clean the carpets in any house or business depends on the size and configuration of the house or office. However, the average cleaning time is two hours. Many factors, like the furniture to be moved, the stage of cleanliness, the extent of per-treatment required and so forth may affect the total time. What do I need to do, before you arrive?
The simple answer to this question is: practically nothing. Doctor Steam’s trained technician will to take care of everything, even moving most furniture items. These include sofas, tables, and chairs. Larger pieces, such as dressers, large cabinets, and pianos are left undisturbed. However, it is recommended that your remove fragile items, like glass frames, vases, mirrors, and any valuable items from the rooms to be cleaned.
How long will it take for the carpet to dry completely?
It normally takes from 6 to 24 hours for a carpet to dry, many factors; such as the level of humidity, the size of the room, and types of fibers used the carpet, come into play. Therefore, it is not possible to provide an exact answer to this question. It is recommended, to reduce the drying time that you turn on the air-conditioning or heating in your home of office.
UPHOLSTERED FURNITURE CLEANING –
How long will it take my furniture to dry?
Drying times for each unique upholstered item will vary depending on many factors. For example, the application of a fabric protector may affect the drying time. The level of atmospheric humidity and airflow are also important. Doctor Steam uses a hot-water extraction system, which generally reduces the drying time to 1 to 6 hours.
Can I wash my cushion covers in my washer?
Putting your upholstery fabric in the washing machine may cause damage to the covers. Therefore, Doctor Steam does not recommend this practice. Using our upholstery cleaning service will get your furniture absolutely clean without the risks of causing shrinkage, fading, and deterioration to your cushion covers.
How often should I have my upholstery cleaned?
Most manufacturers recommend having upholstered furniture cleaned every 12-24 months, depending on how often it is used. Furniture that gets frequent use, such as the family room sofa, where children and pets live, should be cleaned more frequently.
TILE AND GROUT CLEANING –
Do I need to have my tile and grout professionally cleaned?
Regular professional cleaning will maintain your beautiful tile’s sheen and vibrant colors. Without it your tile may become a haven for mold and bacteria growth. Doctor Steam uses hot-water extraction techniques to reach the crevices and grout lines that most in-home cleaning methods simply do not touch. Which results in a renewed tile surface that is fresh, and vibrant, while providing a healthier home for you and your loved ones.
Should I to have sealant applied to grout lines?
Grout is very porous, so it has a natural tendency to absorb moisture, dirt and spills. Therefore, a professional cleaning can only provide temporary protection. Sealing the grout provides a longer-lasting guard against dirt, stains, mold and mildew. Therefore, applying sealant to grout lines makes for a healthier environment in your home.
How often should I have my tile floors cleaned?
Doctor Steam recommends that most people have their tile and grout professionally cleaned every 12 to 24 months. As always, this depends on their floor’s location and usage. Kitchen flooring, areas where children and pets play, or where dirt gets tracked in from outside need more frequent cleaning.
